YAY!! Bella's class is finally up!! (Bella is the fifth from the left)

"Hey, hey, good lookin', whatcha got cookin'? "
"How's about cookin' somethin' up with me?

We could find us a brand new recipe?
I got a hot-rod Ford and a two-dollar bill
And I know a spot right over the hill.

There's soda pop and the dancin's free,
So if you wanna have fun come along with me.

Hey, good lookin',

It's over ... and we are so proud of Bella!!

"I did it, Nay Nay! It was so much fun!!"

Looking at photos and watching the video while waiting on dinner at Applebee's

June 8th ~ Yep. It's hot down here! Bella cools off with a chocolate milkshake and some heavy air conditioning in the car on this humid 103-degree afternoon.

June 10th ~ Bella and I head back home to the Upstate to attend the funeral services for Fr. Chris' mother. The Requiem Mass was held Tuesday evening at Prince of Peace in Taylors. (The parish at which Bella was baptized in 2004.) And yeah, I know, I'm getting big!

Before Mass

Bella loved the "big doors" and the "cool" statue of the Blessed Mother

Father Chris was the celebrant at the Requiem (in the purple)

June 11th ~ Bella and I attended the funeral mass at St. Mary's in downtown Greenville before heading back home. (Mommy had to be at work later that night)

Bella had to "go potty" during mass ... Again, yes, I know ... I'm getting big!

Bella loved the school building!

"The Mass has ended ... go in peace." And may Mamma Smith rest in peace!!

Heading back home because I had to be a work later that evening ... phew! Gas was $4.09 a gallon!

We grabbed some lunch before heading back home. Thanks, Bella ... you made Pop Pop's and my day ...

June 12th ~ Bella and Daddy play catch ... and admire the little "garden" that Bella planted and grew all by herself. Mommy calls it "Bella's jungle."

Shopping on Sunday (22nd) ~ We ate lunch at Perkins and hit the Haywood Mall where Bella got a couple of new things from Macy's  (She is really into Hello Kitty now). She also found out that escalators don't stop moving ... even when you want them to!

Sleepy kiddo

Monday (23rd) ~ Hanging out at The Discovery Place in Charlotte, N.C.

Future meteorologist?

Loving the wildlife ... and posing like some of the exhibits, too!

Human cells, shadows, and more

Di-no-saurs! (You have to say it like the guy from "Jurassic Park"!)

"Here they are, Mom!!!"

Digging for real mini fossils (teeth, shell, and bone fragments) in the Paleolab ... the dirt was recently excavated from Aurora, N.C. in conjunction with the Aurora Fossil Museum. (And she got to keep her findings!)

The Rainforest, a quick lunch, and the Kid's Play Place

Alas ... it's time to head back to Greenville ...

Back home. Sleepy girl and sleepy kitten cuddle up after a long day.

June 26th ~ Bella woke up with Tebow cuddled in her arm ... again.  After lunch, she made a collage with photos and her fossils from The Discovery Place.  She absolutely loves the shark teeth! (That's my girl!!)

June 27th ~ Bella and Andy head to the movie theater to see "WALL-E" after the meeting at the Montessori school. Mommy took a nap ... which Bella photographed upon coming home.

June 30th ~ Heading to Daddy's office so that we can head to the Riverdogs game

Bella got her face painted!

Showing off her new "Big Girl" room before bed... she has a full-size "Hello Kitty" bed on bottom and a twin-sized "play house" on top.

~ July 2008 ~

July 1st ~ "ROAR!" T-Rex Bella terrorizes the household ... and viking Andy tries to defend it.

Playing with glow sticks before bed

July 3, 2008 ~ Waiting at the pediatrician's office to get shots (look at mommy's belly!)

All up to date and ready for school!

Look! Daddy was in the paper today after he helped out during a wreck on Wednesday! (Can you spot him?)

We went to see "Kung Fu Panda" after the doctor's appointment. It was really cute!

July 4, 2008 ~ Hanging out of the "Red, White, and Blue on the Green" festival (Bella even got to ride her decorated bike in the kid's parade!)

July 5th ~ Bella and the kittens snuggled together.

Peter Pan later watches himself in the vanity mirror and plays with Bella's night light.

July 6th ~ Bella's "Big Girl" room is 99% done! She loves this room ... she picked out most of the things in it and even helped paint the walls lavender (her choice!).

July 7th ~ Hanging out with Daddy in the afternoon and eating fruit with Mommy at night

July 8th ~ Mommy / Bella day!! We went to see "WALL-E". Bella absolutely LOVES that little robot! We then went to Michael's craft store and to Home Depot where we bought a ton of stuff. We made her lamp into a "flower" before bedtime.

July 13th ~ Hitting an afternoon Riverdogs game and meeting Dora the Explorer

July 17th ~ The aquarium's turtle rescue hospital released a loggerhead turtle at Folly Beach. Thanks to taking odd directions from Dad's new toy instead of taking my own route, we just missed the release ... the turtle was entering the water as we got to the beach. Ah, well ... Bella got to play in the sand until the rains came.

July 19th ~ Making "fairy doors" with Indya, a friend from down the street.

July 20th ~ Since Andy was sick and in bed, I took Bella and Indya to see "WALL-E" ... later on, Andy finished reading James Howe's "Bunnicula" to Bella.

July 21st ~ Surgery day! A surly Andy recovers from having some bad lymph nodes removed while Mommy and Bella get groceries, pick up prescriptions and items to care for the Jackson-Pratt (JP) drain, and wait patiently in the waiting area. Afterewards, despite the drain, Andy rests in the bedroom and plays on the net.

Approx. 10cc (two teaspoonsful) of blood and serum from Andy's JP Drain.

July 22nd ~ Indya and Bella had a fun day! I took them out to lunch, then to my pharmacy to get a couple of things (where they made fun of my belly), then to my routine OB visit where they played "baby doctor," and then back home where I let them make cupcakes. Later on, both Peter Pan and Tinkerbell cuddled up with Bella to sleep.

July 24th ~ Indya came over and the girls made scrapbooky collages before going to see Andy's surgeon and my obstetrician. Bella's personalized scrubs came in mail, too. (She will be wearing them to the hospital when Anna is born since she'll be my little birth assistant ... she'll do a much better job than a doula would!) Later that night, we got the uber-cool Sit-N-Stand LX Galaxy stroller that I'd *really* been wanting. Bella thinks that it's just "too cool!" too!!

July 25th ~ We had to go to the hospital for a second injection of Celestone (which the nurse let Bella give to me!) as well as fetal monitoring, which proved my theory that Bella gets Anna all wound up and Andy calms her back down.

July 26th ~ Andy wonders why he keeps waking up at night ... this is what I found when I got up to go to the bathroom for the 50th time:

The duo must've gotten tired of bothering Andy because they retired to the bathroom to snooze in the towels.

Later on, Bella goes to her first gymnastics class at The Little Gym. She had a freaking ball! Looks like we'll be doing gymnatics this fall ...

July 29th ~ Bella relaxes on the bed before lunch. It was nasty and stormy outside, so there wasn't much to do.

Daddy must be tired! He and Peter Pan snooze on the sofa ... then heads to Bella's room where he falls asleep again!

July 30th ~ Daddy and Bella play Megablocks in the nursery before bed. Bella is so goofy!

Sept. 13th ~ After coming down with a cold, Bella's pediatrician told me to make her some warm Camomile tea with honey. After having tea made by both me and by her Daddy, Bella decided to "grade" us. I got an 'A' ... Daddy got a 'D'! LOL ... these are the report cards she gave us as we were discussing making another cup of tea before her party.
